Trail Consultation

Let's Dream Together
If you're looking to build a new trail system and aren't sure where to start let McGill Trail Fabrication (MTF) guide you through the process.  As a premier trail design company, servicing the United States, MTF believes in taking a consultative approach first.  Of course, everyone wants to marvel over the completed trail design (so do we), but it must start by identifying your vision, getting eyes on the property, and determining the best trail system design based on nature and the projects budget, expectations, and objectives.

Trail Design & Planning

Getting Geared Up
Walking the property of a new trail system in person allows our team to get a lay of the land and see unique landscape opportunities to build features around.  It also allows us to address potential concerns.  This is all in an effort to protect our customers from unforeseen obstacles and hazards that can affect the projects budget and strategy.  As McGill Trails works on dreaming up the design and planning component of the project, we spend time developing a plan, through renderings and drawings, that we share with our customers face to face before a drop of dirt is moved.
03

Trail Building & Implementation

Playing In The Dirt
When it's time to start the project, after we have coordinated the time frame, start date, and budget expectations, it's time to dig in, literally.  MTF takes great pride in developing world class bike trails that are unique, memorable, and sustainable.  As we work with Mother Nature, we strive to build a one-of-a-kind trail system that's durable, expertly crafted, and rewarding for all skill levels. If we can build a trail people love, integrate it with the landscape thoughtfully. and protect the trail from erosion and water runoff, our mission at MTF is accomplished.
04

Trail Inspection & Approval

Ensuring Riders Joy for Years to Come
It's important that all MTF trail designs are not only rider approved but inspected well from start to finish.  Classifying a trail's difficulty is pivotal to keeping riders safe and your operation functioning well without hiccups.  McGill Trail Fabrication's entire team are expert riders and nuts about mountain biking!  As our build team is adding finishing touches to a trail system, we are testing the trails capabilities at every turn, fine tuning it as we go.  As an added touch, we work with our customers to make sure they have the proper signage, trail maps, and trail classifications dialed in, well in advance of a visitors first public descent.

Continued Trail Maintenance

MTF's Ongoing Touch
Trail maintenance requires some thought and advanced planning.  It's vital that bike trails are inspected and maintained often. Things to consider are resources including staff or volunteers that can help with maintenance as well as an operating budget that covers equipment and tools that might be needed for the job.  At MTF, we believe in helping with this process.  As part of our long-term objectives with our clients we will always make ourselves accessible to help on an MTF branded trail.  Whether a new feature needs to be added, or a trail is damaged in a storm, MTF is and always will be on call.
