McGill Trail Fabrication (MTF) is thrilled to announce our involvement in the development of Cedar Glades Park, a premier city-style bike park nestled within the vibrant landscape of Hot Springs, Arkansas right next to another McGill Design Trail called the Northwoods Trail System.
Project Overview:
Cedar Glades Park caters to the diverse interests and abilities of mountain biking enthusiasts. MTF's project collaboration, along with IMBA Trail Solutions, includes the design and construction of three distinct trail features at Cedar Glades: a Jump Line, a Skills Area, and a Pump Track with each section offering riders an exciting and engaging experience.
Trail Breakdown:
1. Jump Line: The Jump Line at Cedar Glades Park is designed to provide riders with an exhilarating jumping experience as they navigate a series of tabletop jumps and wooden lip options. Offering a thrilling combination of speed and airtime, the Jump Line is sure to challenge and inspire riders of all levels.
2. Skills Area: The Skills Area at Cedar Glades Park serves as a dedicated space for riders to hone their techniques and build confidence before venturing onto more challenging trails within the Northwoods Trail System, all accessible from Cedar Glades Park. Featuring a variety of wooden and rock features, the Skills Area offers riders the opportunity to practice essential skills such as balance, control, and maneuvering.
3. Pump Track: The Pump Track at Cedar Glades Park is a highlight of the park, offering riders a unique experience that is designed to maximize fun and minimize pedaling. The Pump Track features a series of rollers, berms, and transitions that allow riders to generate momentum through body movement alone.
McGill Trail Fabrication wants to give a big thank you to Garland County, Arkansas and IMBA Trail Solutions for allowing MTF to collaborate on this project! Whether visitors are seeking thrills on the Jump Line, honing their skills in the Skills Area, or enjoying the flow of the Pump Track, Cedar Glades Park offers something for everyone, making it a must-visit destination for mountain bikers in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and beyond.
