Keystone Bike Park

Keystone, CO

The Keystone Bike Park in Keystone, Colorado, marks the starting point of McGill Trail Fabrication's (MTF) journey! In 2011, Jeff Lehmann, the park manager at the time, brought together two talented and dedicated trail builders, Tyler Mitchell and Eric Hitchell. Over the next five years, this team, driven by their passion and creativity, helped transform Keystone Resort into a cutting-edge mountain bike park, setting the stage for its future in the evolving world of mountain biking.

During their time at Keystone, the crew navigated a host of challenges, including the complexities of working within corporate guidelines and meeting Forest Service regulations. These experiences proved invaluable, teaching them the nuances of the trail-building industry and preparing them for the launch of McGill Trail Fabrication in 2016. What started as a small dream has since grown into a trail-building powerhouse, crafting incredible trail projects nationwide.

Today, MTF is proud to have worked on bike trail projects across the continental United States, partnering with cities, resorts, and private investors from Montana and California to Texas and North Carolina. These projects build on the skills, insights, and determination first honed at Keystone.

The Keystone Bike Park showcases a variety of trail types, including a cross-country singletrack, a thrilling flow trail with epic descents, a dirt jump course, multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and running, and a bike skills area. Keystone Bike Park is a testament today to the versatility and creativity McGill Trail Fabrication now brings to every project.
