The Vail GoPro Mountain Games are an extraordinary celebration of outdoor sports, music, and community. Each year, the games transform Colorado into a hub of excitement, featuring an incredible lineup of events like fishing, kayaking, running, rafting, disc golf, climbing, slacklining, and even unique dog competitions. Coupled with live music, delicious food, and a vibrant atmosphere, the games attract athletes, spectators, and outdoor enthusiasts from around the world, making it a one-of-a-kind Colorado tradition.
McGill Trail Fabrication (MTF) was thrilled to play a role in this iconic event by helping to revamp the Dual Slalom Race Track in Minturn, Colorado, situated right in our own backyard. If you've never been to the games, Minturn Bike Park makes for the perfect stage to take in this high-octane race.
For two consecutive years, MTF was called in by Kyle and Rachel Strait of Strait Acres to revamp and enhance the track for the GoPro Mountain Games. Our team rebuilt and resurfaced all the berms and features, adding new elements to ensure the track delivered the fastest, most exciting racing experience yet.
The Dual Slalom Track hosts the best racers across the globe. Men, women, and competitors of all ages, who come together to compete head-to-head for the coveted GoPro Games podium and to test their skills on a fresh, exhilirating course. The energy and camaraderie on race day are truly electric, a testament to the spirit of the games and the passion of the athletes.
